Meenakshi A

Meenakshi is a doctoral student in the Department of History. Her research interests include histories of built environments in modern South Asia, and the intersections between infrastructures, technologies, materials, labour and energy. Her current research looks at the environmental and infrastructural dimensions of cement and concrete in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Before joining Yale, she finished her MPhil and MA in Modern History at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University, and her undergraduate degree at Ambedkar University, Delhi.
